What A&P School Costs in Orlando
AIM Orlando does not publish current tuition. Its latest published figures (2023-24) were $47,410 in tuition plus $4,667 in fees, $52,077, plus about $1,050 for books. AIM accepts federal aid and the GI Bill.
US Aviation Academy, Epic and International AeroTech Academy cost $36,000–$37,000. USAA includes tools, digital books and first attempts at every FAA exam; Epic’s $36,995 includes the written exams and the $1,850 oral and practical exam fee.
Public options cost far less for Florida residents: Eastern Florida State’s estimate is $17,996 including tools and lab fees, and Traviss lists about $10,633 for both ratings.
The Schools
Aviation Institute of Maintenance – Orlando Metro (Casselberry)
AIM has trained mechanics in the Orlando area since 2006. Its Casselberry campus at 2725 S US Hwy 17/92 has an 18,000-square-foot hangar, avionics labs and more than 42,000 square feet in all.
- Programs: 21-month AMT certificate (78 credits); 27-month Aviation Maintenance Technical Engineer (100.5 credits, adds avionics), offered only in Orlando and Atlanta.

US Aviation Academy – Kissimmee
USAA opened its Kissimmee maintenance school in May 2026 at 606 Dyer Blvd on Kissimmee Gateway Airport, in facilities where Aviator College previously ran its A&P program before losing its accreditation. The 16-month program costs about $36,000 all-in. USAA has not published its accreditation for Kissimmee, and the campus is not VA-approved.
Epic Flight Academy (New Smyrna Beach)
Epic trains at New Smyrna Beach Airport, about an hour from Orlando, Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. You pay $6,700 per course as you go; Epic advertises the 2,250-hour program as 15 months. It is ACCSC-accredited and accepts the GI Bill.
Eastern Florida State College (Melbourne)
Eastern Florida State trains at Orlando Melbourne International Airport, Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m.–4:35 p.m., over 80 weeks. Admission is limited, with January and August starts; the college adds a Titusville location in Fall 2026.
Lakeland: International AeroTech Academy and Traviss Technical College
International AeroTech Academy, now marketed as A&P Mechanic Institute, charges $36,000 for a 15-month day or 22-month night program, with new classes about every 14 weeks. Traviss Technical College teaches adults at the Central Florida Aerospace Academy on Lakeland Linder airport, with day or afternoon-evening shifts.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach)
Embry-Riddle’s A&P associate degree is not accepting applications. Daytona State College plans a new A&P associate degree at Embry-Riddle’s Aviation Complex from Fall 2026, pending FAA approval.
